It's funny how the most disliked thing at work is the weekly summary. I remember at a previous company, we had to submit a weekly report every Friday, and in the suggestion section, I wrote that we should cancel the weekly report. But when it's not a requirement, I voluntarily do it because I want to hold myself accountable and reflect on my life and work. It also helps me organize the knowledge I've gained. It turns out, it's not that people hate work, they just hate going to work. But when it comes to doing things on our own, self-discipline becomes inevitable.
Currently, I'm still exploring the best way to approach the weekly report. Should I break it down and record daily, or should I review the entire week on Sundays? For now, I'm following the approach of reviewing on Sundays. However, the problem is that my memory is poor, so when it's time to write the report, I can't remember everything I did during the week. I might need some auxiliary tools like chat records or note-taking software. Writing the report itself is not difficult, but remembering everything requires some effort. Alright, enough chit-chat, let's get to the point.
Personal Life:#
- Went to the park twice. During one visit, I had a dispute with an elderly lady. It started when I was playing on the swing, and she asked me to give it to her grandson, saying that as an adult, I shouldn't be taking away a child's turn. Actually, I was just there to have a swing, and if she had asked nicely, I would have let the child have a turn. But the reason she didn't let me was that she believed "I should give it up," trying to morally manipulate me. Although she wasn't the direct beneficiary of this situation, she indirectly benefited from it. This incident made me realize the importance of speaking kindly. It's okay to pursue our own goals, but we shouldn't hurt others in the process.
- Tried a delicious spicy chicken noodle dish.
- Won't try Luckin's orange C Americano again.
- Entertainment this week:
- Finished watching "The Sticky Club." Liang Long is so charming (technically, this happened last weekend).
- Played two rounds of Hearthstone every day.
- Started watching a new drama called "Love Only." I have to say, Wu Lei's acting is really impressive. A young and healthy body is indeed attractive. The scriptwriter of this drama has a certain level of skill, and you can feel their understanding of life through some of the dialogue.
- Watched a few binge-worthy dramas, but I can't remember their names.
- Lost three pounds in weight.
Skill Improvement:#
- After the release of ChatGPT 4.0, the AI field has been accelerating, and many developers have introduced various AI tools. It's becoming overwhelming. Currently, I'm using third-party clients and plugins like Translate, Obsidian ChatGPT, and MacGPT.
- Spent two days setting up my Hugo blog. Although I encountered errors during deployment and the process was bumpy, I eventually succeeded. The biggest hero was ChatGPT, providing solutions that neither Baidu nor Google could find.
- The audience on Baijiahao exceeded my expectations. I didn't have high hopes initially, but it performed better than expected.
- AI painting:
- Last week, I tried Midjourney, and the results were astonishing. However, the output wasn't very stable, and I didn't experience V5 due to using the free quota. Unfortunately, due to some people's unreasonable usage, the free quota got banned, so now I can only use it with a paid subscription.
- Last year, I tried to deploy Stable Diffusion locally, but it always failed. A few days ago, I found a lightweight application that can install Stable Diffusion. However, the installation and uninstallation took several hours, and the processing results were far from satisfactory.
- My study as a social worker has temporarily come to a halt this week, but I plan to pick it up again next week.
- Learned that the most efficient time management is not managing it at all. Always prioritize the most important tasks at hand and leave other things for later.
Conclusion:#
- It's important to keep learning. Otherwise, even if you're standing in front of a favorable situation, you won't be able to take advantage of it.
- Planning is crucial. At least for me, without a plan, it's like being a headless fly.
- When conversing with AI, the most important thing is to learn how to provide clear prompts to quickly obtain answers. It's somewhat similar to giving a brief, but it's difficult to have a clear and concise brief.
- It's still important to engage in outdoor activities. Nature can relax both the body and mind.
