A week of binge-watching and indulging in food and drinks, optimizing the memos and movie pages of the blog.
Personal Life:
- Finished watching the drama series "Lianhua Tower" in four days. Most dramas tell the story of the protagonist starting from a nobody and becoming a great hero, but this drama takes a different approach. The protagonist was already at his peak when he was young, but after a great battle with the leader of the martial arts world, everyone thought he died in the duel, and he disappeared for ten years. Ten years later, he became a wandering doctor, giving up his dream of upholding justice in the martial arts world and losing his former glory. The ending is that he dies, which is quite poignant. He never wanted to live; he only lived to find his senior brother's body and bury him next to their master. However, he never expected that the person he cared about the most would be the one who hated him the most. One strange case after another exposed the conspiracy from ten years ago. In the end, he wrote a letter with the opening line, "The little boat has passed, and the rivers and seas are left to the rest of my life." This line of poetry is from Su Shi's "Lingjiang Immortal". It is said that when Su Shi wrote this poem, his friends also thought he had passed away. So it is possible that Li Lianhua did not die; he just didn't want to reveal his identity in front of his loved ones and friends. During the ten years, he spared everyone except Li Xiangyi. For the audience, this is a heartbreaking ending, but it was Li Lianhua's choice.
- This week, I had poor sleep for two days and only slept for two hours each day. One day, I had to wake up early at around 5 am to send my sister to school. Another day, I met friends I hadn't seen in six years. They wanted to see the flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square. After having supper, I took them to Tiananmen Square and then went home to catch up on sleep. My sleep schedule was disrupted again, but fortunately, I didn't experience any major discomfort. However, I need to adjust my sleep schedule urgently.
- The main store of Hu Da is much better than its branch. Not only the service, but also the environment and taste are superior. I used to go to the branch for meals, but I was pleasantly surprised when I went to the main store for the first time. The garlic-flavored crayfish is really amazing.
- I have been eating too well recently, which has caused me to lose my appetite for the past two days. I want to eat something light to soothe my stomach. I can increasingly feel that I am getting older and my metabolism has slowed down. I need to consume more dietary fiber to feel more comfortable.
- I am considering giving up the semi-automatic pet-raising lifestyle and returning to being a manual cat litter scooper. Since the closure of Youpei, the machine has been experiencing one problem after another. After searching for a while, I decided not to use the automatic cat litter box anymore. One reason is safety concerns, and the other is that the automatic cat litter box takes up a lot of space despite its limited capacity. However, it is worth mentioning that Youpei's litter box is quite large, and it has indeed brought me a lot of convenience in the past two years. I don't have to scoop the litter every day, and I don't have to worry if I'm away for three or four days. At the same time, the amount of litter used in the automatic cat litter box has significantly decreased. But overall, smart devices ultimately serve humans, not pets.
Learning:
- Finally completed the memos page of the blog this week. Initially, I wanted to use Tencent Cloud Server, but after adding reverse proxy, the webpage couldn't be accessed and prompted for filing. I had already decided to file, but it turned out to be troublesome. My domain name is registered with Cloudflare, and Tencent Cloud does not support filing for overseas domain names, so I gave up. Later, I decided to run it locally using Docker. Fortunately, I have a public network and mapped it to a port on the public network so that external networks can access it. However, I got stuck several times in the reverse proxy. The reverse proxy cannot add SSL, and if I use Cloudflare as a proxy, the webpage cannot be opened directly. In the end, I chose Azure. Although it is not very easy to operate compared to Tencent Cloud Server, with the help of ChatGPT and Claude, I managed to solve the problem, and it is now up and running successfully. However, I am currently using the free student quota, and renewing it in the future will also be a problem. After setting it up, I can get rid of the oipd page on xlog.
- Made adjustments to the movies page of the blog. Previously, I used GitHub Actions to automatically parse Douban data, export CSV files, and download movie cover images to the local server. However, I found it too cumbersome because I had to download them to the local server every time, which made the files bloated. So with the help of my AI buddy, I added a process to upload them to Tencent Cloud in the action. Although Tencent Cloud Server has a series of restrictions, Tencent Cloud Object Storage does not, so I will use it for now.
- Read a book this week called "Code: The Hidden Language Behind Computer Hardware and Software". At first, I thought it was about abstract computer terms and the workflow of computers, but it actually explains the principles of various coding in a more concise and understandable language, making it easier for people to understand the language of computers. For example, decimal is used because humans have ten fingers, which is easier to remember. I haven't finished reading this book yet, but it's worth a read.
- My bedtime reading is "Observing Breathing". I started reading it after seeing it recommended by Cai Tou on WeChat. But I don't really read it; I listen to it. I listen to it every night before falling asleep, and it helps me relax. For me, it has a stronger purpose. Currently, I still don't have a compassionate heart.
Next Week's Plan:
- Add a reading page to the blog.
- Finish reading two books.
- Adjust my daily routine.
- Increase physical activity.
In conclusion, nothing much is happening. Just focus on learning.
